Lynzie Asanovich was born on a chilly Friday, 2003 in Missoula Montana. Currently she is a Bachelor of Fine Arts Candidate at the University of Montana, expecting to graduate Spring of 2025. Her love of art has stretched long throughout her life but during high school, it became something that she saw herself doing for the rest of her life.
Lynzie’s main focus right now is oil painting and wants to explore all the different avenues that come along with oil. Although she is also interested in exploring watercolor and gouache and with those mediums the potential for illustration. But with oil being her main focus she is exploring the themes of memories and childhood. Specifically girlhood, and the experience of being a girl, growing into a woman. The complexities socially that also come with being a young girl, and living in an environment in which she feels like she doesn’t quite fit in. Being a young girl growing up with a neuro difference while young and unknowing; Lynzie felt like she never quite had a place at the table with other young girls. Her experience with girlhood is a unique experience but also one that can be related to.
